The villages of Pichl and Preunegg in the valley of the river Enns are very small and sit at the foot of Mount Gasselhohe 2001m. The north facing hillside is the resort of Reiteralm, the western most of the four main resorts making up the Schladming-Dachstein ski region of Ski Amade. It lies to the far north west from Graz, and to the south east from Salzburg.

Connections: it is possible to ski east from Reiteralm via Hochwurzen and Planai to Hauser Kaibling, however it is a long way! Fageralm and Pruggern with its Galsterberg and the Dachstein Glacier are also part of Schladming Dachstein ski region and served by the skibus. There is a Skibus system for linking between the villages and towns in the Ennstal valley of Schladming Dachstein ski region, which is a part of Ski Amade. The Fageralm is just 3km away by skibus.
