Winter Activity in Bad Hofgastein
The skiing is on the west side of the town, the mountain is the Schlossalm. The high point is the HoheScharte at 2300m. It has 1 long blue and 2 short blues, lots of reds including an exceptionally long red from HoheScharte all the way to the bottom but no blacks. It’s easy to make your way from Schlossalm via Angertal (1175m) to the mountain of Bad Gastein, the Stubnerkogel, giving a lot more options and a nice steep black.

Ski schools are available with beginners areas, especially good for beginners is Angertal. Toboggan and cross country ski are also available.
