Hintertux is a glacier and a ski resort, given from the name it is “behind” Tux, just up the valley from the village Tux. Famous as a place to ski all the year round due to the glacier. The valley of Tux is a side valley of the Zillertal, hence no surprise the ski resorts make a connection. Hintertux is a part of the Zillertal ski region, albeit a more remote part.
