Winter Activity in Wagrain
There are 3 bases, on the south side of town there are 2 gondolas heading up the Graffenberg, summit 1710m; on the east side of town is the Flying Mozart gondola heading off up towards Griessenkareck summit 2000m. Slightly out of town on the east side is the Rote Achter, also a gondola heading off up towards Griessenkareck.
Wagrain is a central part of the extensive region Sportwelt, but just analysing the slopes between Graffenberg and Griessenkareck.

There are ski schools, the beginners area is at the base of the Flying Mozart, or at the middle station of the Rote Achter. There are many other activities available including cross country ski, toboggan, ice skate, swimming horse drawn sleigh rides.
Connections: with slopes and lifts to the east links to Flachau, to the west to Alpendorf. There are local ski buses for connecting between the various parts of Wagrain, and to the south to Kleinarl (6km), all part of Sportwelt. Between the Flying Mozart and Grafenberg middle stations is the G-link cable car which has improved to link between Alpendorf and Flachau, reducing the through traffic of skiers in Wagrain.
There are road connections to the other parts of Sportwelt and Ski Amade.
