The village is to the north east from the city of Innsbruck and little closer to city of Salzburg, between the castle town of Kufstein and Kitzbuhel. It lies on the road from St. Johan in Tyrol to Worgl on the river Inn, between Scheffau and Itter. It is between the Mittagskogel 1594m and the Hohe Salve 1829m, the highest peak of the Wilder Kaiser. It is a part of the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental. It’s popular summer and winter, quite photogenic due to the backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range.

Winter Activity in Söll
For winter sports Söll is a gem, but a part of the greater area within the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser. From the base there is a gondola going up to 1150m to connect with chair lifts and other gondolas, the only drag lifts are at the foot of the mountain. The highest point of the Söll area is theHohe Salve at 1829m, the highest point for beginning a descent in the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser area. Considering only the Söll part of the Skiwelt.
