Just above the town of Schladming in the valley of the river Enns, Rohrmoos has views looking north at the Dachstein summit and top station. The villages is to the far north west from Graz, to the south east from Salzburg. It sits on a small plateau of Mount Hochwurzen 1850m, Hochwurzen is one of the four main resorts of the Schladming-Dachstein ski region of Ski Amade.

school and beginners areas are available, cross country ski and toboggan too. A lot of people plan to use the Gipfelbahn to reach the top. On busy days the combination of tobogganers with skiers and snowboarders can cause quite extended queuing times. This can be avoided once you get to know the mountain with use of the Obertalbahn and Hochwurzen II. From the Hochwurzen top station in addition to a good choice of ski routes there is the winter hiking trail and the toboggan trail. The fun park best option would be on the Dachstein glacier.
Connections: it is possible to ski west to Reiteralm or east via Planai to Hauser Kaibling, Fageralm and Pruggern with its Galsterberg and the Dachstein Glacier are also part of Schladming Dachstein and served by the skibus. There is a Skibus system for linking between the villages and towns in the Ennstal valley of Schladming Dachstein ski area, which is a part of Ski Amade.
