In this eastern corner of Vorarlberg where it borders with Tyrol there is a range of mountains called Arlberg with the Arlberg mountain pass, the highest peak is the Valluga 2811m. On the Voralberg side are the villages Schruecken, Warth and Lech, Zurs, Stuben, and Sonnenkopf; on the Tyrol side St Anton and St Christoph. These places together form the Ski Arlberg. Lech is to the north from the pass between Stuben and Warth.
Lech itself has quite a reputation both for winter sports and for being visited by celebrities royalty and elites. It has bred its own ski champions, and holds some important races, most famously “The White Ring” with 22 kilometres of piste and 5,500 metres of altitude.
